About Auction For Education in Ethiopia

We have teamed up with Ethiopia Reads to help fund two projects that are very dear to our hearts. The first is The Kololo School. Kololo Non-Formal School was created by Ethiopia Reads for children living in hard-to-reach farming villages in the Kembata Tembaro Region, South West Ethiopia. Situated on a site only accessible from a dirt track road - to a point - and then by foot, the success of the project is due to perseverance and an ethic of teamwork between Ethiopia Reads staff and Kololo villagers. Now in its third year of operation, the school serves 277 children, aged 4 to 11. And the second project is The Awassa Reading Center. This center has been serving the children in the city of Awassa since its establishment in 2006. In the 2013-2014 school year, the library served over 3000 children. Most of the users are from Grade 1 – Grade 8 and their ages vary from 6 – 16 years. Thank you so much for your support!
